In the event of an emergency situation, such as flooding or an industrial accident requiring a multi-agency response, the Town Hall may become the primary incident control point; it must be said that many of the emergency response services deploy their own mobile control units.  The website will be updated with the latest available information together with the council’s Facebook news feed.

If volunteers are required (such as owners of four wheel drive vehicles), calls for such will be made via social media and the website.  The Town Hall may become an Evacuation Centre to provide very temporary shelter for those that are required to be evacuated as a result of the incident.

If you have any questions about the plan, please contact the council offices.
