Cullompton spent a period of time formulating a Neighbourhood Plan for the Parish; at the Referendum that was conducted, 87% of those that voted supported its adoption and it became the first in the District to be adopted as a planning policy document. It is a document that augments the Planning Authority’s Local Plan and gives specific guidance, through the Policies and their supporting information, on a wide range of matters related to the development of Cullompton. It is particularly important as Cullompton becomes the focus of large scale development, both in terms of dwellings, leisure and employment spaces, in the district.
